W.O.R.T.H. Team Agreement

1. Commitment Agreement
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and agree that I am committing my child to participate in the W.O.R.T.H. basketball winter/spring season for a duration of five (5) months. I understand that this is a full commitment, and if the commitment is broken for any reason, I will not be refunded.

2. Parent Conduct
Parents are strictly prohibited from coaching their children or other players from the sidelines during practices and games. This includes giving instructions, calling out plays, or offering any form of guidance. All coaching decisions and instructions are to be made by the official coaching staff. Parents are expected to respect the boundaries and authority of the coaches. Any form of interference or overstepping, including questioning coaching decisions or attempting to influence player selections and game strategies, will not be tolerated.

3. Parent and Player Conduct During Practices and Games
Parents are expected to exhibit positive behavior and sportsmanship at all times. This includes refraining from making negative comments about players, coaches, officials, or other spectators. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will result in disciplinary action, which may include removal from the premises. Players are required to demonstrate respect towards coaches, teammates, officials, and opponents at all times. This includes following all team rules, listening to coaches, and maintaining a positive attitude. Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct will be addressed promptly.

4. Communication Protocol
To ensure rational and constructive discussions, parents and coaches should wait 24 hours after a tournament before initiating any communication regarding the tournament's events or outcomes. This cooling-off period is designed to prevent emotions from overtaking rationale and to ensure that every decision and conversation is in the best interest of each individual player. Coaches will be available for scheduled meetings or phone calls after the 24-hour period. They will provide a professional and respectful environment for discussion. Parents are encouraged to reach out respectfully and professionally, focusing on constructive feedback and concerns. Any discussions should be aimed at supporting the player’s development and well-being.

RELEASES & LIABILITY
1. Medical Release and Liability
I hereby authorize the coaches, staff, and representatives of W.O.R.T.H. to act in accordance with their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention for my child. I also understand that I will be responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

2. Release of Liability
I, the undersigned, on behalf of myself and my child, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless W.O.R.T.H., its coaches, staff, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, and liabilities arising out of or related to any injury, illness, or damage incurred during participation in club activities, whether arising from the negligence of the releases or otherwise.

3. Media Release and Liability
I hereby grant W.O.R.T.H. permission to use photographs, videos, and other media taken of my child during practices, games, and other club activities for promotional and marketing purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use on the club's website, social media channels, and printed materials. I understand that I will not receive any compensation for the use of such media and that all rights to the media belong to W.O.R.T.H. I release W.O.R.T.H., its coaches, staff, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, and liabilities arising out of or related to the use of these media.
